Tutors / Grinds

A tutor is a private educator, usually with a teaching background, who is responsible for a child's social, creative and intellectual development.

The tutor can pay individual attention to a student's needs, allowing them to improve knowledge and skills far more rapidly than in a classroom environment.

How can a grind help?

  • Teaching, planning and monitoring a student's syllabus. Improving reading, note-making, time management and test-taking skills.
  • Setting realistic goals and targets for improvement.
  • Helping remedial students and students in need of special attention.
  • Providing more advanced material for exceptionally capable and highly motivated individuals.
  • Increasing a student's confidence in their learning abilities.
  • Helping a student catch up on missed work, or with changes in curriculum.
  • Coaching life skills and etiquette.
