Nanny

Nannies are professional (qualified and/or experienced) childcare specialists who are responsible for providing children with a safe and stimulating environment in which to support their physical, social, emotional, creative and intellectual development.

The nanny plays a major role in supporting the family structure, leaving busy parents with the opportunity to spend their evenings and weekends with their children uninterrupted by household and childcare chores.

Nanny duties

To provide flexible and individual care.
Nannies can pay greater attention to your children's needs.
To protect your children from any harm, providing them with a safe environment in which to develop.
To prepare nutritionally balanced meals for your family.
To maintain good communication, informing you of your children's development or of any concerns in behaviour.
To help with tasks such as taking your children to and from school, to after school activities, organising play-dates, helping with homework, carrying out laundry duties and running errands.

Nanny qualifications

There is a range of childcare qualifications a nanny may hold, including FETAC childcare certificates, Nursery and Montessori diplomas or other childcare certificates.
All of our candidates have acquired the relevant childcare qualifications for the positions they are applying for.

We only place nannies of the highest calibre.

All of our nannies undergo comprehensive screening and selection procedures.

Our background investigations include checking employer references (a minimum of two), medical reports and garda vetting checks.

Nanny hours

A nanny may work on a part or full time basis, as required by each family’s unique needs.

Nanny salary

Nannies earn between €10 & €12 per hour or between €400 & €650 per week full time. The rate will depend on working hours, location, number of children and level of experience of individual candidates.

Agency fee

For placements between 2 and 6 months, the agency fee is equal to 4% of the candidate’s salary and for placements longer than 6 months the fee is 8%. We also offer a special temporary rate for short-term placements.
